A Closer Look at Mazda’s Summer Lease Offers

August 17, 2017

This summer, automakers are trying to lure in prospective buyers by offering a number of attractive lease deals. One such automaker is Mazda, which is currently advertising a number of lease deals across its entire inventory. Below, we’re going to take a closer look at these lease offers, some of which might appeal to you if you’ve been looking to lease a Mazda.

Now, before taking a look at the lease offers below, it’s important to remember a few important things about advertised lease offers. First, these offers assume sterling credit on the part of the lessee, and they only apply to specific trim levels for the vehicles in question. In addition, the payments and amounts due at signing quoted below do not include things like sales tax, dealer fees, license fees, and more. Therefore, you can expect the actual lease offer you’ll get from a dealership – at least initially – to be higher than what you’ll see below…

2017 Mazda3

The Mazda3 is car that has received widespread acclaim, having been honored as a 10best winner in its class. For a compact car, it offers quite a bit, not the least of which is its impressive performance and fuel economy. Whereas other compact cars can feel a little ‘utilitarian’ when you’re behind the wheel, the Mazda3 has a level of sportiness that makes it an absolute blast to drive.

The Mazda3 comes in two basic models – a sedan and a hatchback – both of which are the subject of current advertised Mazda lease deals. These deals apply to the baseline “Sport” trim level. The Mazda3 Sedan has an advertised lease deal of $1989 due at signing with payments of $159. The Mazda3 Hatchback has an advertised lease deal of $1,989 due at signing with payments of $179. For the Hatchback, a $595 acquisition fee is folded into the monthly payment as quoted.

2017 Mazda MX-5

Another 10best winner for Mazda, the MX-5 is a vehicle that offers quite a bit of bang for your buck. Reviewers have praised it for its performance and for just how well this vehicle handles around sharp corners. But, the MX-5 isn’t just all about fun and performance! In fact, many reviewers have been quick to note that the vehicle offers a comfortable ride, even when you’re not cruising around town with its top down.

Right now, Mazda is offering a promotional lease deal on the MX-5 RF Club with manual transmission. This is the mid-tier trim level for the MX-5. The RF – which stands for “retractable fastback” – is only available in the Club trim level or higher. (There is a cheaper, soft-top version available in the baseline trim level, if you’re interested.)

For the MX-5 RF Club, the current advertised lease deal is $1,999 due at signing with payments of $479. Those payments include an acquisition fee of $595.

2017 Mazda CX-3, CX-5 and CX-9

If you need a bit more car when you’re looking into Mazda’s offerings, then the CX line is definitely worth your consideration. This assortment of SUVs offers a great deal for your money, and each CX has drawn high marks from reviewers. The CX-3 and CX-5 fall into the crossover SUV category, and the CX-9 is a full-size SUV.

With respect to the CX-3 and CX-5, reviewers are generally positive about the vehicles’ performance and the spaciousness and comfort of their interiors. The CX-5 was the most recent to receive a redesign, and it does offer better performance than the CX-3. However if fuel economy is your thing, then you may wish to go with the CX-3, as it does get markedly better gas mileage than the CX-5.

When it comes to the full-size CX-9, reviews are also positive for the same reasons as with the other CX models. However, some have noted that the CX-9 doesn’t offer the same level of power as you might expect for a vehicle of its size and price. Still, if you’re looking for a Mazda SUV that offers the maximum in terms of interior space and comfort, the CX-9 is definitely the right call.

Right now, Mazda is offering promotional lease deals on these three vehicles in their baseline “Sport” trim levels. Do note that these baseline versions come with front-wheel drive and not all-wheel drive. Right now the CX-3 is being offered for $1,999 due at signing with payments of $189. The CX-5 is being offered for $1,999 due at signing with payments of $219. And finally the CX-9 is being offered for $1,999 due at signing and payments of $379. For each vehicle, the monthly payment includes Mazda’s $595 acquisition fee.

Should You Lease a Mazda This Summer?

As you can see, Mazda is advertising a number of lease deals that may warrant your consideration. Just remember that what you’re offered when you actually visit a specific dealership will most likely vary significantly. However, these advertised lease offers are truly useful as a jumping-off point for negotiations. Ultimately, you’ll definitely want to work with a dealer in order to arrive at a lease agreement that makes sense for your specific budget and needs.
