Mid Summer Lease Deals

The Most Affordable Mid Summer Lease Deals

August 17, 2017

With the summer now in full swing, many automakers are offering a number of attractive lease deals in order to lure prospective car buyers onto dealership lots. This means that if you’re in the market for a new car, it might be a good time to act. This is particularly if you’re looking to get a great deal. Below, we’re going to take a look at some of the cheapest advertised lease deals out there.

As you examine the list that we’ve pulled together, it’s useful to keep a few things in mind. Remember that these are advertised lease offers. As such, the amount due at signing does not include additional fees that will apply, and the advertised payments do not include sales tax. Additionally, remember that these offers are for standard terms on specific models and trim levels, and these offers also assume sterling credit on the part of the lessee. Finally, do keep in mind that leases offered by individual dealerships can vary significantly, just as they can vary depending upon what region of the country in which you’re located.

2017 Volkswagen Jetta

The Jetta remains a popular model for Volkswagen despite the fact that some reviewers continue to have qualms about different aspects of the vehicle. Despite what some see as flaws, the Jetta does have its benefits not the least of which is above-average fuel economy and solid safety ratings.

Right now, Volkswagen has a national lease deal for the Jetta S, the baseline trim level. This deal is for $2,999 due at signing with payments of $109 – in some regions the payment may be as low as $99.

There’s one thing to keep in mind about this offer. You’ll likely want to move up a trim level to the SE if you’re expecting to have many of the features you’d expect from a contemporary car, such as a touchscreen, sunroof, Bluetooth connectivity and more. If, however, you can live without these features, the above advertised lease deal is so low that it’s hard to ignore.

2017 Toyota Corolla

If you’re looking for a compact vehicle that comes standard with contemporary safety features, then the 2017 Toyota Corolla definitely warrants your consideration. This vehicle offers everything from lane-departure and forward-collision warning to automatic emergency braking. In addition to the above, the Corolla also offers a comfortable ride and excellent fuel economy.

Toyota is currently advertising a lease deal for the 2017 Corolla LE (one step above the base trim level) of $1,899 due at signing and payments of $159. On the West Coast, we were able to locate an offer for the 2017 Corolla SE (another step up in trim level) that calls for the same payment of $159 but with $1,999 due at signing.

2017 Mazda3

When you think of a compact, you’re likely thinking of a vehicle that’s purely utilitarian. The Mazda3 offers something different. This compact is known for its sportiness, offering you something that’s fun to drive and easy to fit into tight spaces. Aside from that, it’s also a very fuel-efficient ride that offers a level of safety that’s in excess of what you’ll get with many other similarly priced compacts.

Right now, Mazda is offering a promotional lease on the Mazda3 Sport Sedan, which comes standard with an automatic transmission. This lease offer is for $1,899 due at signing with payments of $159. The payment includes the acquisition fee of $595.

2017 Subaru Impreza

If ‘sportiness’ isn’t something you want out of a compact, then you may wish to take a look at the Subaru Impreza, which recently underwent a full redesign. This vehicle now comes standard with all-wheel drive, and it has drawn positive reviews for the roominess and comfort of its cabin. The only downside is that the Impreza isn’t as zippy as some people might like, particularly in comparison to the Mazda3 discussed above.

If you can look past the performance aspect, you may well be lured in by Subaru’s nationally advertised lease deal. This deal applies to the base Impreza 2.0i Sedan, with $1,899 due at signing and payments of $179.

Hunting for the Right Lease

As you can see, automakers are advertising a number of very affordable lease deals right now. In fact, the offers quoted above are just a sampling of what’s out there!

If you pursue any of the above lease deals or another you see advertised, remember that they do not reflect the exact amount you’ll end up actually paying. That said, knowing what these advertised specials are provides an excellent starting point for negotiating lease terms with a dealer.
