2019 Lincoln MKC: Compact Luxury SUV That Caters To All Your Desires

December 15, 2017

The 2019 Lincoln MKC is Lincoln’s compact SUV. Derived from the Ford Escape platform and introduced for the 2015 model year, the MKC has achieved some major goals for the Lincoln brand. It has brought owners of other brands to Lincoln, with nearly half of all its sales coming from luxury brands like Lexus and Mercedes-Benz. No other Lincoln vehicle has gotten close to this level of conquest sales. In addition, the Lincoln MKC has brought women into the Lincoln showroom, with more than half of all MKC sales being made to women buyers.

The 2019 Lincoln MKC is a redesigned and upgraded version of the first generation model. It adds more infotainment and driver assistance technology, plus upgraded luxury features and an enhanced ownership experience.

The 2019 MKC will offer the same two engines as the 2018 model. Both are turbocharged four-cylinder EcoBoost engines: a 2.0L with 245 horsepower, and a 2.3L featuring 285 horsepower. Front-wheel drive is standard, with all-wheel drive available as an option.

What’s So Special About The 2019 Lincoln MKC?

The first thing you notice about the 2019 Lincoln MKC is its addition of the new Lincoln corporate grille, which has already appeared on its siblings the Continental, the MKZ, and the Navigator. The previous “baleen whale” front end treatment is gone.

The 2019 Lincoln MKC’s standard SYNC 3 infotainment system is now equipped with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, for fully integrated control of your smartphone’s functions through the MKC’s touchscreen or steering wheel controls.

A new suite of driver assistance technologies includes pre-collision assist with pedestrian detection. This system uses advanced radar and camera sensors to provide a collision warning. If the driver does not respond, the system can automatically apply the brakes. Available active park assist can guide drivers into and out of tight parallel-parking spots. Other available technologies include lane-keeping alert and blind spot information system with cross-traffic alert.

Lincoln also continues to offer its unique Black Label program for those seeking a more personalized experience, one that comes with membership privileges. Black Label combines specially curated interior designer themes with anytime carwashes, an annual detailing, and access to select restaurants, where chefs will present special events just for Black Label members. The Black Label interior themes incorporate Venetian leather, Alcantara, and exotic woods. Black Label is available only at the select Lincoln dealers who have been qualified to offer this special program to customers.

Lincoln is also focused on an effortless ownership experience with its Lincoln Way phone app. This app allows owners to remotely start, lock, unlock and find their Lincoln MKC. It can also be used for Lincoln’s Concierge service, which can schedule pickup and delivery for service appointments, along with a no-charge Lincoln loaner vehicle, at the customer’s choice of location. Lincoln is the only luxury brand to provide this service for all their vehicles.

Should You Lease A 2019 Lincoln MKC?

The 2019 Lincoln MKC should be a great car to lease, for several reasons. It has a great list of standard and optional luxury, safety, and performance features. MKC lease rates should be competitive, since it must compete head-to-head with all the other German and Asian luxury compact SUVs. And the Lincoln Concierge service means that you will never need to visit the dealer, from the time you drive your MKC away to the time you return it at the end of your lease.

Pricing should be similar to that of the 2018 model, which starts at $33,355 and ranges up to $45,975. The 2019 Lincoln MKC will appear in Lincoln showrooms during the summer of 2018.
